As a lifelong learner, Stephanie rarely passes up an opportunity to participate in design courses, workshops, coaching programs and conferences. She is a certified Interior Design Business Process Professional, has participated in online learning provided by the Interior Design Institute, completed coursework related to Construction Documentation & Project Management, as well as participates in continuing education opportunities at trade shows and industry conferences.

Stephanie Dobson is the CEO behind her boutique design firm, Dobson Interiors, based in Lake Norman. Her narrative of design centers around family, craftsmanship, and integrity.
She grew up rooted in traditions and understands how important it is to intentionally create special moments with loved ones. Spending holidays and birthday celebrations with family, and enjoying Sunday afternoons spent rocking on her grandparents’ front porch playing games, are some of her favorite memories. Stephanie knows first hand how special it is to have a gathering place where everyone feels at home; somewhere that, no matter what time of day or who you are, you’re greeted with a heartfelt hug and a smile. And maybe a glass of sweet tea.
Stephanie has always been a big dreamer and forward thinker. Her balance of creative and analytical thinking served her well in her corporate career, where she spent over a decade leading large teams and managing payroll tax operations for corporate giants such as Bank of America, Duke Energy, CVS and Salesforce. Her tenured experience in project/client management and problem solving, combined with the skills and expertise she’s acquired through formal and on the job design training, has positioned her to execute beautiful projects with ease. Her clients deeply appreciate the meticulous attention to detail and streamlined communication that she brings to each job site.
In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her 5 adult children and husband. She’s an outdoor enthusiast who can’t resist a hike in the NC mountains or a day at the beach, loves getting lost in the pages of a good suspense novel, crafting, and hosting friends and family. She loves a glass of bold red wine, the dryer the better, especially when it’s partnered with beautiful vineyard views and an epic charcuterie board. Stephanie is passionate about supporting local businesses and is deeply committed to leaving things better than she found them. Putting this into practice, she loves volunteering with organizations like Surfrider Foundation, Second Harvest Food Bank and Fifth Street Ministries.
Stephanie also enjoys collaborating with other businesses, has been a member of local Chambers of Commerce, Executive Women of Lake Norman and previously served on the board of the Cabarrus Business Network. Most recently, her work has been applauded by LKN Magazine and Charlotte Business Journal.
